In a bold move Wednesday, Luther College announced the school will trade in the beloved Norse mascot and logo for a new, fierce face for the college.
An original theatrical experience about food, family and the comfort of home, locally commissioned musical "All Recipes Are Home" will make its premiere at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall as the final performance of the 2014-15 Luther College Center Stage Series.
This performance is sponsored by Decorah Bank and Trust Company.
Tickets are on sale in Luther's Ticket Office, $27 for adults, $25 for seniors age 65 and over and $15 for youth ages 4-18. A special discount price of $20 is available for current farmers. "The Mask You Live In," a documentary film that explores the gender stereotypes traditionally forced upon men and boys, will be screened at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, in Valders Hall of Science Room 206 on the Luther College campus.
Sylvia Chan-Malik will present the lecture, "'Somewhere in America': Exploring the 20th-21st Century Musical and Cultural Expressions of U.S. Muslim Women" at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in the Franklin W. Olin Building Room 102 on the Luther campus.
