Technology Help Desk Student Employment Application
The Technology Help Desk seeks applicants with a talent for helpfulness, a drive to solve problems, and an aptitude for technology. If you have an interest in working with us, please complete the following application.
Applicants should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, including good oral and written communication. Other core skills are adaptability, problem solving, honesty, and discretion, with the ability to follow exact processes, to learn quickly, and to collaborate. We want a team with many skills and perspectives. We don’t favor computer science majors—technological aptitude is just one skill among many.
Technology Help Desk staff are expected to answer and dispatch calls, staff the walk-up desk, troubleshoot, perform research, follow issues through until final resolution, install software, deliver equipment, support labs and classrooms, and many other tasks.
