“This is going to be a hilariously fun night,” said Susan Potvin, director of programming and outreach.

Convocation begins at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3  in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall. 

“Over an extraordinary career spanning 41.5 years, Jay served Luther College with unwavering dedication,” said Luther College President Brad Chamberlain.

Affectionately known as “Coach Pete,” Hamlet Peterson coached basketball for 40 seasons.

Ellingsen succeeds Nordic Studies Associate Professor Maren Johnson as the center’s director.

Lurth’s book is the second book in the Small Luxuries series, published by the Quarto Group.

Among these graduates that participated in Commencement, 22% were double majors and 20% were first-generation college students.

Rose Baldwin will serve as the box office manager and oversee operations during shows and special events at the Center for Faith and Life.
