Alumni and Friends Virtual Book Club

April 8 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Over four sessions in March and April, you can join fellow alumni and friends to discuss “James” by Percival Everett. A new take on Twain’s classic “Huckleberry Finn,” “James” is told from the perspective of Jim, the runaway slave who has served as Huck’s literary sidekick for almost 135 years. Now, Jim gets to tell his story as a man running to freedom while trying to save his family. It is compelling and timeless.

There is no cost, but registration is limited. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own book.

The virtual book club will meet on Tuesday evenings, March 18, 25, April 1, 8, 11, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Central Time.
