Luther College alumnus Sameer Dixit to present public lecture Oct. 25
Luther College graduate Sameer Dixit will speak about his extensive career in public health in Nepal at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in Valders Hall of Science Room 206 on Luther’s campus.
This lecture is open to the public with no charge for admission.
Dixit will discuss the challenges of creating a public health system in a developing country. He will also explain how he manages his numerous vocations in both the medical field and the entertainment industry. Since graduating from Luther in 1994, Dixit co-founded Molecular Dynamics Nepal, a world class medical research center, and serves as an adviser on antimicrobial resistance to the Nepal Ministry of Health and Population. He is also known for his work as co-presenter of “Good Morning Nepal,” and as an executive producer of the 2012 movie drama “Highway.”
