A 2001 graduate of Luther College, Bellrichard served 2001-03 with the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa, where he led the development and implementation of a village savings bank, including the recruitment of bank staff and their training in accounting practices, marketing strategies and business roles and operations. He has also served with VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America).

In addition to supervising student work-study sustainability employees and serving as a liason between campus and community sustainability groups, Bellrichard will also design and implement strategies to achieve reductions in solid waste disposal, campus energy usage and recycling.

Bellrichard is a native of Austin, Minn. He succeeds Caleb Mattison who served 2007-09 as Luther sustainability coordinator
