Luther level its overall record to 5-5 with a 4-0, 12-6 sweep of Nebraska Wesleyan this afternoon in Tucson, Arizona.
In game one, Ryan Bahnemann drove in what proved the game winning run with a single to right-center in the fourth inning. Bahnemann drove in Matt Larson who reached base after ripping a triple to right field.
Augie Lindmark went the distance on the mound. Lindmark threw a three-hit shutout, walking one and striking out three.
After falling behind 4-1 after one in game two, Luther outscored Nebraska Wesleyan 11-2 the rest of the way, en route to a 12-6 victory.
Matt McKinney was credited with the win. McKinney worked five innings, allowed six runs on five hits, walked three and struck out three.
The two wins levels Luther's overall record to 5-5. The Norse wrap up their spring trip to Tucson, Arizona with a double header against UW-Superior tomorrow, March 23.
