The Red Nose Mask: Vulnerability & Truth for the Actor
A lecture/demonstration focusing on the powerful moments of transformation and authenticity engaged when wearing the "smallest mask in the world", the red nose. The lecture/demonstration will feature commentary and interchange with visiting artist, Paola Coletto and Robert Larson of the theatre/dance department and several students. As a graduate of the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, Coletto studied a physical approach to theatre creation and is one of 40 students in the school’s 50-year history to have been certified as a pedagogical specialist under Lecoq’s direction. From Padua, Italy, Coletto has worked as a director, teacher, performer and producer in her home country as well as England, Scotland, Spain, France and the U.S where she is currently residing in Chicago.
