Luther College Center Stage Series presents: "The Nature of Forgetting" by Theatre Re

At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, come experience "The Nature of Forgetting" in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall on the Luther College campus. The piece will be performed by Theatre Re, an ensemble based in London. Rather than speaking, the group relies on energetic movement and captivating live music to tell the story of a middle-aged father in the early stages of dementia. Bringing together art and science, this inventive, enthralling production is an adventure into a deep understanding of humanity and the joy of life.

"I love to be surprised at the theater, and I'm so excited for the surprises we have in store with Theatre Re's 'The Nature of Forgetting,'" says Kristen Underwood, director of campus programming. "The question 'What do we have when we don't have memory?' is posed in the most creative ways by this talented company."

Theatre Re creates tangible and poignant work. Their productions examine the fragility of life in a captivating style embracing mime, theatre and live music. "The Nature of Forgetting"  premiered in January 2017 at the London International Mime Festival. The production ran in August 2017 at the Edinburgh Fringe, the largest arts festival in the world.

Broadway World calls it "a visually stunning production you won't soon forget."

The highly creative and talented chefs on the Norse Culinary Team invite you to partake in the Center Stage Dinner Series before the show. The dinners feature a multicourse menu to compliment each performance. A separate ticket is required. All meals begin at 5:30 p.m. in Peace Dining Room on the second floor of Dahl Centennial Union.
