Luther College Ministries is holding a Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther campus.
The service is open to the community with no charge for admission.
As the last student congregation service of the semester, students are invited to an informal worship gathering before finals week begins. The community will share the Christmas story, carols, scripture readings and lighting candles. The Luther Congregation invites students to bring blankets and pillows as the community sits on the stage for the service.
Various Luther students will provide music for the evening and seniors will read the scripture. The service finishes with a candlelight singing of "Silent Night" in several languages.
