Luther College Community Music School now enrolling second session

Classes and lessons open to youth musicians of all experience levels

Luther College music education students are serving as instructors at the Luther College Community Music School, open to anyone in the Decorah area.

Session II classes begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Decorah Lutheran Church, 309 Winnebago Street Decorah, Iowa, and run through Dec. 5. Tuition is $30 for the six-week session. Options for classes include Beginner Ukulele, Intermediate Ukulele, Drumming Circle and Barred Instrument Band for grades 3-8 and Rock Band and Songwriting Class for students in grades 5-8.  Participants are dismissed at 8:50 a.m. to walk next door to school.

LCCMS offers group classes, private lessons and SoDa Club—a community choir and dance program for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. For more information, contact Jill Wilson or Catelyn Janda at [email protected].
