Local and regional radio to air the performance as well
Luther College is offering a streamed version of the 2017 performance of "Christmas at Luther: The Tree of Life My Soul Hath Seen" online Dec. 22 through January. The college's annual musical celebration is available at christmasatluther.com/stream; there is no charge to view or download the performance.
The theme of the 2017 production, "The Tree of Life My Soul Hath Seen," comes from the hymn, "Jesus Christ the Apple Tree" and the quote credited to Luther College's namesake Martin Luther, "Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree."
Iowa Public Radio, Minnesota Public Radio and Wisconsin Public Radio will each air the 2017 performance this holiday season: IPR at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24 and 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25; MPR at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 on Classical MPR; and WPR at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24 and noon Monday, Dec. 25.
