The annual BTQ Talent Show, sponsored by Luther College's Diversity Center and the Beta Theta Omega (BTQ), a women's leadership and service group, will feature student talent at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 26, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther campus.
The show will feature vocal and instrumental music, dance and poetry.
Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 at the door, available at the Luther Ticket Office from April 21-24, telephone (563) 387-1357 open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are also available online at https://tickets.luther.edu/Online/default.asp.
Proceeds from the talent show will go to the Sylvia Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is for women from Uganda to get a liberal arts degree at Luther College in honor of Sylvia Gift Nabukeera. Nabukeera was an international student from Uganda and a BTQ sister. She made a positive impact at Luther and on the BTQ organization. She died in 2010 on her way back to Uganda.
