Student volunteers from Luther College's Student Congregation will help Decorah residents with spring chores Saturday, Oct. 20 when Luther holds its annual Fall Fling community service day.
Luther students will help Decorah area with yard work, planting, light housework, window removal and cleaning, and other spring chores.
A group of students will be assigned to go to homes for 1.5 hours, either in the morning or afternoon on Oct. 20.
The day's volunteer work schedule will give priority to Decorah residents who are elderly or handicapped, but any resident who is in need of Fall Fling help may request help. There is no charge for the Fall Fling services, but donations will be accepted.
All donations to Fall Fling will be divided between the ELCA Malaria Campaign and the Decorah Area Food Pantry.
