Luther College and APO to host adventure race Oct. 20

An adventure race, sponsored by the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity chapter, will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 in Regents Center on the Luther College campus.  

The adventure race begins with a canoeing or kayaking leg of 4.92 miles, then a bike ride for 11.5 miles and finishes with a 2.59 mile run through the beautiful and scenic city of Decorah. This race can be performed individually, divided between participants as a relay or a group or people may compete as a group.

The fee for individuals who would like to participate is $10 for a student and $20 for a non-student. For a relay team, the student group fee is $15 and the non-student group fee is $30. T-shirts may also be purchased for $5. Entries for the adventure race will be taken until Oct. 19.

Alpha Phi Omega is a social organization that Luther College students may choose to participate in. Of the five social organizations on campus, three are women's societies and one is a men's brotherhood. Alpha Phi Omega is the only on-campus co-ed service fraternity.
