Luther College is looking to reduce, reuse and recycle year round with the Luther Reuse Sales. A replacement for the annual Luther College auction, the Luther Reuse Sales will offer a variety of items no longer used by the college.
The sales will be held in the Ashmore-Jewell Barn near Baker Village on the Luther campus. The Reuse Sales, a project of Luther Sustainability, will be held on selected dates throughout the school year from 5-7 p.m.
Items will also be auctioned online via the Luther Reuse Sale website.
To see a list of items currently being auctioned, visit http://www.luther.edu/sustainability/waste_recycling/reusesale/.
The public will be notified of sales via an announcement on www.DecorahNow.com and an email sent to the Luther Sustainability email group. To receive a reminder of upcoming sales, join the email group at http://www.luther.edu/sustainability/emaillist/.
In 2011, Luther's annual Trash into Treasures used items sale will be combined with a Reuse Sale to increase the time available for sale of the items. The change will make Trash to Treasure items available to incoming students at the beginning of each academic year.
