InPulse, an a cappella ensemble, is performing on Friday, Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. at Marty's in Dahl Centennial Union.
Tickets are $9, available at the Luther Box Office, telephone (563) 387-1357 or email@example.com, open Monday-Friday, 9-10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; extended hours Thursdays: open until 7 p.m. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the show.
InPulse prides themselves on breaking away from the traditional voice band experience to redefining it to be something completely their own. The group's artistic approach stays true to their mission: to take the a cappella "vocal band" sound into mainstream music and bring genuine musical artistry to today's pop culture.
InPulse has sold more than 25,000 copies of their three CDs including "Alone and Above," "Shed a Little Light" and "InPulse: Live." The band members include Taylor Baggott, tenor; Andy Miller, vocal percussion; Matt McDonald, baritone; and Ben Rudolph, bass.
InPulse received the runner-up award for 2009 Musical Act of the Year by the Campus Activities Magazine Reader's Choice Awards, making them one of the hottest, most sought-after acts on the college market today. The concert is sponsored by the Luther Student Activities Council (SAC) Spotlight Committee.
