Luther Athletes Serving Others (LASO) will sponsor “Take a Kid to a Game” day Saturday, Feb. 6, in the Regents Center gymnasium.
LASO invites children in kindergarten through fifth grade to attend the Luther versus Central College women’s basketball game and sit in the stands with Luther student-athletes.
The event is open to all area children with no charge for admission.
To enroll a child in the Feb. 6 “Take a Kid to a Game,” call or send an email message to Stu Johnston, Luther College Counseling Service, (563) 387-1375, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check-in time for participants will be 1:30 p.m. in the south Lobby of the Regents Center sports complex, located on Luther’s lower campus.
The women’s basketball game begins at 2 p.m. Popcorn and pop will be provided to participants during the game.
“Take a Kid to a Game” day will end about 3:30 p.m., and parents should pick up their children in the Regents Center south Lobby promptly at that time.
“Take a Kid to a Game” is a national program endorsed by the NCAA. Luther’s “Take a Kid to a Game” events are sponsored and conducted by LASO, an organization of Luther student-athletes from the college’s 19 intercollegiate sports programs for men and women.
