Attendees will leave with inspiration and ideas for Regenerative Social Infrastructure, to move from a model of extraction within community work, to one of resilience. The sustainability movement stands on a stool with a missing leg. We invest in Technical and Policy solutions, but Relational Sustainability lags behind—the internal and social health of our agencies and communities required to sustain long-term advocacy. Without this third leg, coalitions remain fragile and leaders burn out. To move the needle on environmental health, we must apply ecological rigor to our human systems. This presentation introduces Relational Permaculture as a practical solution. Just as permaculture uses nature’s laws to design self-sustaining gardens, Relational Permaculture applies those laws to organizations to build “Social Mycelium.” Amy will outline three actionable strategies to foster collaborative cohesion.
