Mykleby reached the A-Finals in two events placing fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:08.14) and second in the 200 freestyle (1:54.65).
Drewes crushed her own school record in the 100 breaststroke while posting a B-Cut qualifying mark at the same time. Drewes touched the wall in 1:04.76 during the preliminary round, and then proceeded to record a time of 1:04.25 in the A-Finals, that was good enough for second place. Her old school record was 1:06.11 set on Feb. 19, 2010.
For the second time in as many days, Stephanie Drewes set a school record and recorded a B-Cut qualifying mark. This evening, Drewes crushed her old mark in the 200 breaststroke, finishing second in the finals with a time of 2:21.72. Her old mark was 2:24.57 set on Feb. 19, 2011.
Erin Mykleby also swam well. Mykleby advanced to the finals of the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly. She placed fifth in both events posting times of 53.49 and 59.57 respectively. Her time in the 100 freestyle ranks third on Luther's all-time list.
Mykleby, Drewes, Amelia Ladd and Erin Connolly placed fourth in the 200 medley relay. The foursome posted a time of 1:49.33, just shy of the school record of 1:49.30
The Norse will return to action on Jan. 7, when they will host Loras College in the Regents Center Pool at 1:00 p.m.
