Golf (Men) - Augsburg Invite

The men's golf team started its fall schedule at the 21-team Augsburg College Fall Invitational. The 36-hole tournament was played at Majestic Oaks Golf Course, Ham Lake, Minn.

The Norse carded a two-day total of 617. St. John's University won the team title with a 582, followed by University of Manitoba with a 594.

Josh Wytinck won the individual title shooting rounds of 73-68 for a 141. Tim McCormick of UW-Eau Claire was second at 143, followed by Alex Klehr of St. John's University at 144.

Aaron Smith led the Norse finishing in a five-way tie for 19th place at 150.  Tobias Kohl (152) finished 26th, Matthew Axelrod (158) was 55th, Jack McLeod (163) was 77th, and Joel Bruns (168) was 97th.

Sam Matheson (166) and Ben Jordan (170) played as individuals and finished 86th and 105th respectively. There was 123 golfers in the field.

The men continue play Sept. 17-18, when they will travel to Eau Claire, Wis., for the UW-Eau Claire Invite.
