Dear Classmate,

We greet you with hopes that winter is loosening its grip and you’re looking forward to an exciting spring.  It was 32 years ago that we were spending our last spring together at Luther, getting ready to head out into the real world—surely a serious time of  deep introspection. We decided to check.

Do you know that back issues of Luther College Chips are available online?  If you visit http://chips.luther.edu and click on “Archive” you can find every issue beginning with Vol. 1, No. 1 from 1884.  We perused some of the issues from February and March 1978 to see what deep thoughts were consuming us that senior year.  Highlights include:
