    Dear Classmate of the Class of ’41:

    I want to apologize for the tardiness of my last letter.  Somehow it got hung up in the pipeline and that is the reason you received it so late.  Hopefully this one will get to you in a more timely manner.  We have recently undergone our annual winter snow.  Seattle is like Rome, built on seven hills.  Consequently, three to six inches of snow this year triggered the Governor to declare a state of emergency, and everyone was supposed to stay home.   Read more...
