Victoria Barnett, staff director at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and member of the museum's committee on ethics, religion, and the Holocaust will present a lecture at 6:30 p.m., April 23, in the Franklin W. Olin Building Room 102. The lecture, titled "Dietrich Bonhoeffer: 'Unfinished' Hero," is open to the public with no charge for admission. A reception will follow the lecture.
The Luther College Religion Department will host "Studying Religion at a College of the Church," the final event in the 2014-15 Luther College Religion Forum Series, "Teaching Religion at a College of the Church." The forum will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 30, in Room 102 of the Franklin W. Olin Building on the Luther campus. The event is open to the public with no charge for admission.
In recognition of Jazz Appreciation Month, the Luther College Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Juan Tony Guzmán, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life on the Luther campus. The performance, part of the Jazz Orchestra's spring tour of the Upper Midwest, is open to the public with no charge for admission. The concert will be streamed live at: stream.luther.edu.
Luther College's Philharmonia will perform works by Gounod, Holst, and Dvorak at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, in the Noble Recital Hall located in the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music on the Luther campus.
