    Faculty Artist Series: Karen Kanakis to perform voice recital Sept. 12

    Karen Kanakis, hailed for her fine vocal technique and dramatic flair, will present a faculty artist series voice recital Sept. 12. The program features music sung entirely in Italian by various composers including Franz Liszt, Giuseppe Verdi, Paolo Tosti, Gioachino Rossini and Reynaldo Hahn.

    Faculty Artist Series: Murasaki Duo to perform piano-cello recital Sept. 14

    The Murasaki Duo, featuring husband-and-wife team Miko Kominami and Eric Kutz, members of the Luther College faculty, will present a piano-cello recital titled "A French Affair" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Music Hall on Luther campus.

  • Maryna Bazylevych, Luther assistant professor of anthropology and women and gender studies, to be installed as the Nena Amundson Distinguished Professor at the college's fall 2014 Opening Convocation.

    'Where's your Pendulum?'

    "Where's your Pendulum?" Luther College's 2014 Opening Convocation Lecture, will be held Thursday, Sept. 4. Convocation also includes the installation of Maryna Bazylevych, Luther assistant professor of anthropology and women and gender studies, as the Nena Amundson Distinguished Professor.
