    Softball hosts conference tournament

    Luther College will host the 2016 Iowa Conference Softball Tournament May 6-7 at the Luther College Softball Diamond. The single-elimination tournament includes the conference's top six teams and the winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

    Luther College junior Luigi Enriquez of Racine, Wisconsin, was awarded the Krahn Family Student Life Service Award for the 2015-16 academic year. This award is given to a current sophomore or junior student who has demonstrated a strong contribution to campus life in a way that embraces the spirit and mission of Luther College.

    Student Composition Recital features 9 original works

    Luther College will host an evening of new music composed by members of Luther's composition studio. Out of the 18 student composers in this semester's composition studio, five students have been selected to present their pieces at 9 p.m. Monday, May 9, in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Music Hall. Works to be performed include solo, chamber and electronic music with video.
