In addition to soaring vocals, the trio of Jazz at Lincoln Center musicians will share the true stories about the legendary performers who brought these timeless songs to life.
The Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization recognizes excellence in integrating international education.
President Brad Chamberlain said “I am excited by how the institutional commitments represented in the Luther Promise will strengthen our partnerships with students and their families.”
Laver’s program will sample an “eclectic collection of pieces that explore the art of variation, from Bach’s monumental Passacaglia and Fugue to more modern expressions of the genre.”
“Nordic Choir has an exciting program to share with audiences from Iowa City to Orlando,” said Andrew Last, associate professor of music and director of choral activities.
“Black History Month is an opportunity to reflect on the histories, contributions and resilience of Black communities,” said Khadija Ramadan ’26, president of the Black Student Union.
Catalyst Quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall.
