Based in Buenos Aries, Tango Fire features 10 dancers who are considered masters in every form of Argentinian tango, from its original style to contemporary ballroom style. In addition to performances featuring the whole company, each couple choreographs a solo dance for themselves, a fact that sets Tango Fire creatively apart from other companies.
The Tango Fire dancers provide an extraordinary performance for each audience. With five World Tango Champions in their ranks, they move with dazzling precision and power that lends passion to everything from a fantastic lift to an intimate caress.
Tango Fire takes the audience on a journey through tango, tracing the dance's roots from the Barrios of Buenos Aires into Cabaret before moving through the decades to showcase the growing popularity of tango as a contemporary dance form.
Choreographed by German Cornejo, Argentina's hottest young choreographer, Tango Fire has cemented a reputation internationally as one of the most innovative and exciting practitioners of contemporary tango in the world.
Tango Fire performances are accompanied by Quarteto Fuego, a lively quartet featuring a bandoneónist, a violinist, a pianist and a double bass. The band is accompanied by one of Argentina's finest young singers, the world-renowned Jesus Hidalgo.
