Work with our seed historians to research historic seed catalogs, dusty old books, hand written letters, and organizational documents as we track the stewardship of varieties in our collection. Northeast Iowa Peace and Justice Center is seeking a food security coordinator. The Winneshiek County Recycling Department has several work study positions available. Basic daily job tasks include material sorting, maintaining production area organization, and frequent interaction with the general public. The facility is open from 6:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and we will consider running alternative hours to accommodate your class schedules. Several students carpooling together at one time outside of regular class time would work well. Students with Facebook, Twitter, and other electronic and written communication skills are encouraged to apply, too, as we have some opportunities for some of you to participate in the waste reduction education part of the program.
