Lisa Negstad is currently the Director for Organizational Effectiveness at Lutheran World Relief in Baltimore, Maryland. In this position, she works directly with LWR's partner organizations in 50 countries around the world. LWR works with these partners to help people grow food, improve health, strengthen communities, end conflict, build livelihoods, and recover from disasters. LWR, together with people in the U.S., works for justice for those it serves. Negstad is also a director on the board of the Nebraska-based disability organization Mosaic, Inc. (a Lutheran Services in America organization).
Prior to her current position, Negstad was Vice President for Finance and Administration at Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service and served for five years as Comptroller at Lutheran World Relief. Negstad's other professional experiences include relief and development work with Church World Service in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. During her time in Cambodia, Negstad served first as Finance and Administration Manager in 1994 and then as Advisor on Credit Programs until 1997. From 1989-1992, Negstad worked as Resource Coordinator for the Southeast Asian Resource Action Center, Washington, D.C.
Negstad's educational background includes an MBA from Yale University School of Management and a bachelor's degree from Luther College.
