SUMMARY:Luther Trails Hike
DESCRIPTION:Come for a leisurely hike on the trail system through Luther’s native habitats\, including oak woodlands and tallgrass prairies.  Luther land stewardship interns will talk about their stewardship work that maintains and improves the quality of our natural areas\, including tree plantings\, prairie and woodland management\, and ongoing projects such as non-native invasive species control. This is a great approximately 90-minute hike for those who want to enjoy the fall weather and native habitats in Iowa’s driftless region.  Wear footwear appropriate for light hiking. \nMeet in front of Dahl Centennial Union (hike will begin promptly after group gathers at 10 a.m.) \nview the full Family Weekend schedule

DESCRIPTION:The Center for Intercultural Engagement and Support (CIES) invites you to experience Utsav: Festival of Colors\, a vibrant celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the Asian Indian community\, on Saturday\, July 19\, in Rochester. Enjoy delicious food\, captivating dance performances\, and mesmerizing music; join the color throw; and explore an array of products available for browsing. \nAfter departing from the Dahl Centennial Union at 10:30 a.m.\, we will enjoy lunch at an Indian restaurant\, spend a few hours at the Apache Mall\, and end the afternoon at the Utsav festival. We expect to return to campus at 8 p.m. The cost is $5\, which covers the event ticket\, lunch\, and transportation. \nPlease RSVP for the trip through this form; pay the ticket cost at the CIES office.
