Land Stewardship Internship

Full time positions transition to part time (5 hrs/week) during the 2016/2017 school year

Are you looking to spend time outdoors in the prairies and woods on the Luther campus and want to gain job skills in natural areas stewardship? Come be a part of Luther’s Land Stewardship Team. This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience with restoration and management of natural areas, including management of invasive species, trail building and maintenance, prescribed burns, vegetation monitoring/research and more. Interns will work 40 hours/week summer 2016 and approximately 5 hours/week during the school year (Fall 2016/Spring 2017).

Applicant requirements:

  • must have completed Bio 151
  • must be available to work through Spring 2017
  • be willing and able to perform physical work, including brush cutting, clearing, lifting, etc.
  • happily encounter working conditions with a positive attitude that sometimes includes mosquitoes and weather extremes (hot, cold, and sometimes rainy).
