Practicing mindfulness and promoting the greater good has the power to improve our health and wellness. It can lead to better sleep, healthier relationships, better health outcomes, increased focus and productivity, and a more positive outlook on life. UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center has developed a toolkit of 30 science-based practices for a meaningful life. The Greater Good Mindful Well-being Group for employees will lead you through these practices to help bring more meaning and well-being to your life.
Groups of up to 10 employees will meet 4 times virtually and practice using the toolkit between each meeting. For each of the 30 science-based practices you will learn why it is important, how to do it, why it works, and the primary research that supports it.
The wellness team hopes to find times throughout the year that may work for all employees interested. The currently scheduled groups and times are:
Group 1 Wednesday's 9/9-9/30 from 2:30-3:00
Group 2 Monday's 10/12-11/2 from 11:30-12:00
Group 3 Tuesday's 10/17-12/9 from 9:30-10:00
Group 4 Thursday's 1/7-1/28 from 12:00-12:30
Additional groups will be offered in the spring. Including one evening group.
