Student Organizations Launching Luther Leaders Series

The Student organization “Launching Luther Leaders” (L3) series is building off the L3 program to include all Organizations with a focus on learning outcomes through purposeful engagement and leadership programming across campus. It is designed to provide a variety of opportunities for students to:

  • learn about leadership theories and practices
  • apply and develop leadership skills
  • reflect on the significance of leadership and service experiences across campus

The L3 series is committed to being value driven in its engagement, recognizing leadership at Luther is fundamentally entwined with self-awareness, community care and well-being. The L3 series hopes to foster leadership in student organizations and beyond to career ready graduates.

Below are the learning outcomes the workshops will address:


Demonstrate communication skills and the ability to interrelate with others. 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of group dynamics and effective teamwork.
  • Illustrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Distinguish ways to adapt and reflect on one’s leadership style.
  • Display the critical thinking skills and abilities to lead others toward common goals.

Enhance awareness and commitment towards effective citizenship and social responsibility.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration and just social change.
  • Develop a commitment to service.
  • Understand the importance of taking responsibility for their actions.
  • Develop a range of leadership skills and abilities community care, conflict resolution, awareness of values motivating others
