Cory Hummel

Senior Class Representitve

    Cory Hummel is a senior majoring in political science, with minors in music and environmental studies. he had been an active member of Senate for four years, he also played violin in the Symphony Orchestra and is the Program Director at KWLC.

    Cassie Michel

    Junior Class Reresentative

      Cassie Michel is a junior class representative. She is an elementary education major. She is a kind, caring, and passionate person. On campus she is involved in LSEA, Gospel Choir,  Wind and Percussion Ensemble, and the Chi Theta Rho sorority. She is passionate about producing positive change in the world and finding creative ways to solve problems and compromise.

      John Lof

      Junior Class Reresentative & Finance Chairs

      John Lof is a Junior Representative serving as Finance Co-Chair from Grinnell, IA. He is a political science major with a minor economics. Beyond Senate, John is involved with Collegiate Chorale and Campus Democrats.

      Collin Zollinger

      Junior Class Reresentative

        Collin Zollinger is from Sterling, Illinois and is a Junior here at Luther. He is currently pursuing a political science major and history minor. He spends his spare time singing in the Nordic Choir, hosting a radio show at KWLC, and as a member of Luther College Young Democratic Socialists.

        Bergen Gardner

        Sophmore Class Representative & Student Leadership Chair

        Bergen Gardner is a Sophomore Class Representative and the chair of Student Leadership on Student Senate. Bergen is a women and gender studies major with a Nordic studies minor. She is in Cathedral Choir, is a Resident Assistant in Ylvisaker Hall, and is a Special Events Admissions Ambassador. She loves to read, drink coffee, and eat great food with friends.

        Ben Seavey

        Sophmore Class Representative & Campus Betterment Chair

        Ben Seavey is from Albert Lea, Minnesota. He is a philosophy and political Science double major who is serving as a Sophomore class representative. Ben is heavily involved in Student Senate alongside the Political Science and Philosophy departments.

        Kai Storvick

        Sophmore Class Representative

          Kai Storvick is a Sophomore pre-medical and pre-ministry student international studies and biology Major with minors in chemistry and religion. Along with having the honor to serve as the sophomore class representative to the Student Senate, he is also involved in the Honor Council, Church Council, Mock Trial, Interfaith in action, Cathedral Choir, PRIDE, and APΩ, Luthers service fraternity.

          Charmaine Neumbo

          First-Year Representitive- Brandt Hall & Student Life Chair

          Charmaine Neumbo is an entrepreneur, a youth activist, a newspaper columnist and a Marvel enthusiast. Her role as Junior Mayor in her hometown earned her various accolades, including being voted the most versatile student by Deloitte and Touche Associates. She graduated from UWC RBC, Germany where she completed an International Baccalaureate. She is currently considering a double major in chemistry and biology. Apart from the student senate, she is also involved in the Black Student Union, International Student Association and Allies, and is also a full-time CHIPS writer.

          Jerry Jones

          Firs-Year Representative- Olson Hall

            Jerry Jones is a first-year here at Luther College who is triple majoring in English, philosophy, and political Science. Jerry was elected on behalf of Olson Hall. He is from Des Moines, Iowa where he graduated from East High School alongside Central Academy. In Des Moines, Jerry was involved heavily in the community where he was a director of political inclusion on the American Iftar Dinner movement, worked on multiple 501c3 non-profits, and worked on the Kim Reynolds campaign. Jerry currently participates in Mock Trial here at Luther.

            Spencer Cox

            First-Year Representative- Yilvisaker Hall

              Spencer Cox is a first-year student who came to Luther from Northwest Iowa. He is involved in Wrestling, LAG, Choir, and other events as well as Senate. Spencer grew up in a family of six, two elder sisters, a younger brother, and both parents. For the past two years, it has been just Spencer, his brother, and mother. Currently Spencer plans on being a lawyer, and is double majoring in philosophy and political science.
