Luther fell to 1-3 in the American Rivers Conference standings after losing to Loras College 3-0 tonight in the Regents Center. The Duhawks remained atop the league standings and now have a record of 2-0, 15-5 overall.

In set one, the Duhawks scored the final 10 points to secure the 25-21 win. In set two, with the score tied 16-16, the Norse were outscored 9-4 down the stretch and were defeated 25-20. The Norse led 21-18 in set three but could not hold off a Duhawk charge that resulted in three ties down the stretch. With the match tied 24-24, the Duhawks scored the final two points to secure the set victory of 26-24. 

Paige Yontz led the Norse attack with 11 kills. Brooke Greenwod was next with eight and Sydnee Schreier was credited with six. Sam Sixta dished out 28 assists and was also credited with 13 digs. 

The Duhawks were led by Kendra Cave who recorded a match high 14 kills. Kelly Boge also reached double digit kill totals with 10.

Luther returns to action Oct. 11-12 when they will play in the UW-Oshkosh Marty Petersen Invitational.
