Luther Volleyball Picked Fourth in American Rivers Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll

The American Rivers Conference has released the 2019 Preseason Coaches' Poll and Luther College has been picked to finish fourth. The University of Dubuque was selected for the top spot followed by Wartburg College and Coe College.

Second year head coach Brittany Sisk returns six letter winners that includes two starters from last year's team that finished third in the conference race with a record of 5-3. 

Seniors Sam Sixta (Altona, Iowa/Southeast Polk), Brooke Greenwood (Mason City, Iowa) and Paige Yontz (Urbandale, Iowa/Waukee) are the top returners. Sixta was a 2017 first-team all-conference selection at setter.

Luther begins the 2019 campaign at the St. Mary's University, Minn. Ground Round Sugar Loaf Classic Aug. 30-31. Luther's home opener will take place Aug. 12 vs. Augsburg College at 7:00 p.m.
