The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) has announced the 2018 all-conference volleyball team. Luther College senior Emma Veum (Eagan, Minn./Eastview) and junior Karissa Kime (Stewartville, Minn.) were named to the 15-member team.
Veum becomes the first player in Luther history to be named first-team all-conference four times (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018). In 2015 she was also named the league's Co-Rookie of the Year.
Veum completed the regular season A-R-C schedule ranked third in attack percentage (.308) and ninth for kills per set (2.87). Entering the A-R-C Tournament semifinals tonight, Veum has tallied 311 kills and also leads the Norse with 103 total blocks. Her career kill total reads 1,123 that ranks fourth all-time.
Kime is making her first appearance on the all-conference team. Kime finished the regular season schedule ranked fifth in the league for kills per set (3.35) and 13th for attack percentage (.215). She leads the Norse with 334 kills, increasing her career total to 579.
