Tricia Serres completed her remarkable career with an eighth place finish in the finals of the 1500 this afternoon at the NCAA III National Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Serres posted a time of 4:34.71. Katie McMenamin of Swarthmore won the individual title with a Walston-Hoover Stadium record time of 4:24.33.
With her performance this afternoon, Serres earned All-America honors in the 1500 for a fourth time. This also makes her an nine-time All-American in track and field, four times indoors and five times outdoors. Combined with her two All-America honors in cross country, Serres ends her career as the most decorated distance runner in Luther history.
