Luther Women's Tennis Team Named ITA All-Academic Team - Six Student-Athletes Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its team and individual academic awards for the 2019-20 school year.

For the 20th year in a row, Luther was recognized as an ITA All-Academic team and six student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale); all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form; and all varsity letter winners are factored into the cumulative team GPA.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: be a varsity letter winner; have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the 2019-20 academic year, and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.

The six student-athletes named ITA Scholar Athletes included senior Ellie Hemker (Winona, Minn./Winona Senior); junior Anna Spencer (Decorah, Iowa); sophomores Shelby Cook (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) and Megan Grimm (Swisher, Iowa/Cedar Rapids Prairie); and freshmen Sydney Clausen (Stewartville, Minn.) and Kylie Dunning (Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson).
