Luther College senior Sam Kraft has been named the Liberal Arts Performer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Jan, 21, 2018. This is the second time this year she has been so honored.
The Liberal Arts Performers of the Week are nominated and selected by the head coaches from the teams that compete at the Liberal Arts Championships, the final NCAA III National Tournament qualifying event of the year.
Kraft helped Luther to a third place finish at the two-day Grinnell Invitational held Feb. 19-20. Individually she won three individual titles and swam on four relays that posted top-three finishes.
Individually she placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:58.23), the 500 freestyle (5:12.41) and the 1650 freestyle (18:28.51). She also swam the anchor legs for the 400 Freestyle and 400 Medley relays that both placed second, as well as the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays that placed third
