Luther College senior Sam Kraft has been named the Liberal Arts Performer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 5.
The Liberal Arts Performers of the Week are nominated and selected by the head coaches from the teams that compete at the Liberal Arts Championships, the final NCAA III National Tournament qualifying event of the year.
Kraft won both the 200 freestyle (2:03.46) and the 500 freestyle (5:28.22) during Luther's home dual meet against Grinnell College held Nov. 4. Kraft won the 200 freestyle by a full two seconds and dominated in the 500 freestyle touching the wall 20 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor. Kraft also swam the anchor leg for the 200 medley relay that finished first (1:57.70).
