Senior Ashley Burrows (Bondurant, Iowa/Bondurant-Farrar) became Luther's all-time leader for career hits on Thursday, April 5 during Luther's double header victory over St. Mary's University (MN).
Burrows, a 2017 NFCA Second Team All-American, entered the non-conference twin bill tied atop the record boards for career hits with 2012 NFCA Third Team All-American Shari Huber (2010-13) with 206. Burrows became Luther's all-time leader on her second trip to the plate of game one reaching base on a bunt single. She finished the afternoon with five hits and now has a career total of 211.
At the time of this article, Burrows was batting .480 (36-of-75) that included two doubles and one triple. She had scored 32 runs bringing her career total in this category to 147 that ranks third all-time.
