Bailey Hocker IIAC Position Player of the Week

The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) has announced that sophomore Bailey Hocker has been named the league's Position Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 30. This is the first time of her career she has been so honored.

This past week, Hocker batted .727 that included a perfect 7-for-7 during Luther's sweep of Simpson College in the final double header of the regular season. 

A transfer from Southeastern Community College, Hocker has made an immediate impact for the Norse as the designated hitter. She batting .446 with 21 RBI and a slugging percentage of .595. In 74 plate appearances she has struck out just five times, walked nine times and hit safely 33 times.

Luther claimed its third consecutive Iowa Conference championship finishing the regular season with a record of 15-1, 37-3 overall.
