Four Women's Soccer Players Recognized on All-Conference Team

The American Rivers Conference has released the major award winners and 22-member women's soccer all-conference team.

Senior midfielder Lizzy DePrenger (Iowa City, Iowa/Regina) was named all-conference for the first time of her career. DePrenger has started all 18 matches for the Norse this season and has been credited with two goals and two assists for six points. 

Seniors Maggie Anderson (St. Peter, Minn.), McKenzie Lundquist (Prior Lake, Minn.) and Hailey Sanchez (Northglenn, Colo./The Academy) were all named honorable mention.

Anderson, who was a 2017 all-conference selection, has tallied two goals and added three assists for seven points. Lundquist has four goals and one assist for nine points, and Sanchez leads the team in scoring with seven goals and one assist for 15 points.

Luther finished the A-R-C regular season schedule with a record of 4-3-1 and earned the No. 5 seed for the six-team conference tournament. Luther has never missed qualifying for the conference tournament since it began 24 years ago.

At the time of this article, Luther had defeated Simpson College 1-0 in a first round match. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, Luther travels to top seed Loras College for a semifinal match that begins at 5:00 p.m.
