Sixteen members of the Luther College women's soccer team have been named to the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) 2018 Fall Sports All-Academic Team.
To qualify for all-academic team honors, a student-athlete must be in their sophomore, junior or senior year of eligibility, have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater on a 4.0 scale, have attended the school for at least a year, and be a member of the varsity team. All-academic teams are sponsored three times a year, fall, winter and spring.
The fall sports all-academic team is comprised of student-athletes from the sports of men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, football, volleyball, women’s tennis, and women’s golf.
Earning all-academic team recognition were seniors Lauren Bruneau (Decorah, Iowa), Hanna Christopher (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Gladbrook-Reinbeck), Erin Jennings (Davenport, Iowa/Assumption), Marta Springer (St. Peter, Minn.); juniors Maggie Anderson (St. Peter, Minn.), Katherine Bouska (Iowa City, Iowa/City), Josie Lange (Chaska, Minn.), Abbie Jo Madson (Delano, Minn.) and Lindsay McFarland (Lakeville, Minn./North); sophomores Kennedy Bergren (Mahtomedi, Minn.), Hanna Dodd (Coal Valley, Ill./Orion), McKendra Heinke (Seymour, Wis.), Kiara Hohn (White Bear Lake, Minn.), Isabel Iverson (Decorah, Iowa), Hanna Jennings (Williamsburg, Iowa), and Hannah Morehart (Rochester, Minn./John Marshall).
Spring is making her third appearance on the all-academic team, while Anderson, Bouska, Bruneau, Jennings, Lange, Madson and McFarland are making their second appearance.
