The Women's Golf Coaches Association announced on June 29, the 2019-20 WGCA All-American Scholars with a total of 1,401 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. Four student-athletes on the Luther College golf team were listed among the honorees.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. A student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher; and must have played a minimum of 12 rounds throughout the year at the Division III level.
The Luther College honorees were Sydney Mauyle (Sr., Appleton, Wis./North), juniors Morgan Kranz (Sauk Centre, Minn.) and Kelly Schultz (Winona, Minn./Senior) and freshman Emma Fretheim (Decorah, Iowa).
