UW-La Crosse hosted the 37th Annual Tori Neubauer Invitational. The 6k course was run on the Ettrick Golf Course, Ettrick, Wis.
A total of 21 teams competed for the 2017 title. Iowa Central Community College was crowned the champions with a team total of 53 points. UW-La Crosse was next with 58, followed by Iowa Conference member Nebraska Wesleyan University with 117. Luther finished tenth with 272 points.
Other Iowa Conference schools in the field included Simpson College that finished 13th (360 pts) and Central College that finished 14th (360 pts).
McKenzie Carney posted a top-10 finish from the field of 298 runners. Carney crossed the finish line with a time of 22:38.
Completing the Norse top seven included Anna Ryden (24th - 23:05), Kat Hoffman (77th - 24:30), Vera Lindhorst (79th - 24:36), Emma Abernethy (82nd - 24:36), Amelia Hornseth (83rd - 24:36) and Hannah Wright (86th - 24:51).
Luther returns to action on Friday, Oct. 20, when it will host the annual Luther - UW-La Crosse Dual. Start time is slated for 4:30 p.m.
