Beyond Sports Women's Collegiate All-Star Game Canceled

ATLANTA (March 12, 2020) — With the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and their families in mind, as well as the current information provided about COVID-19 by health authorities, the All-Star Committee has decided to cancel the 2020 Beyond Sports Women’s Collegiate All-Star Game presented by the WBCA.

The committee followed the guidance, recommendation and leadership from the WBCA and Beyond Sports to come to this decision. The health and safety of our student-athletes and coaches is first and foremost always our priority.All events associated with the All-Star game are canceled, including the WBCA Coaches’ Classroom and the Kids’ Clinic, both of which were to be held on Saturday, March 21.

The student-athletes selected to participate in this year’s all-star game have worked tremendously hard for this achievement. The committee will work with the WBCA and Beyond Sports to continue to celebrate the all-stars.

 

ATLANTA (March 10, 2020) — Beyond Sports and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced today 18 of the 20 NCAA Division III senior women’s basketball players selected to participate in the second annual Beyond Sports Women’s Collegiate All-Star Game presented by the WBCA.

The all-stars were chosen by a committee of head women’s basketball coaches of NCAA Division III programs, who are also members of the WBCA. All players were nominated by WBCA member coaches.

The final two participants will be selected by fans from a list of five nominees. Voting is now open. Click here to access your all-star ballot. Fan voting ends at noon ET, Sunday, March 15. The final list of all-stars and team rosters will be announced Monday, March 16.

The second annual Beyond Sports Women’s Collegiate All-Star Game will be played at the Capital Center Performance Arena on the campus of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, on March 21 immediately preceding the NCAA Division III women’s basketball national championship game. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. ET.
