Five Members of Women's Basketball Team Named to 2020 American Rivers Conference Winter All-Academic Team

The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) has announced the winter sport members of its 2020 All-Academic Team. One hundred and forty-nine student-athletes from the league's five winter championship sports met the requirements for recognition.

To be eligible for all-academic team honors a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

The Luther women's basketball team had five players named to the all-academic team. This list included seniors Maggie Anderson (St. Peter, Minn.), Laura Hamilton (Minnetonka, Minn./Chanhassen), Madilyn Heinke (Seymour, Wis.) and Sarah Holtz (Austin, Minn./Pacelli Catholic); and sophomore Natalie Danzl (Wyoming, Minn./Centennial). Anderson, Hamilton and Hotlz earned this honor all three years they were eligible. This is the first time Heinke and Danzl have been so honored.
